Due to a scheduling conflict with University Stadium, the MacGregor track & field meet for the entire school will now be held at MacGregor PS on our yard – “Mustang Stadium”!!!  Our PE team has been busy painting lanes in the grass, measuring distances for our various track events, and setting up the sand pits and such for our field events, and we thank them for their flexibility and all the extra effort in putting together this event for our students.  We are also excited to have Canadian Olympic runner and Canadian record holder Lanni Marchant to kick off our opening ceremonies. She will be here at 8:30 to give a pre-meet message to our students and to hang out for a little bit.

Students are expected to be at school on Friday for Track & Field as this is part of their Phys. Ed. program (and mark!).  Please review the following expectations and information with your child, so that you can reinforce the message that we will be giving them at school Thursday and Friday.

• Students will be outside ALL DAY, and will only be permitted into the school to use the bathroom or re-fill water bottles.
• Students must bring everything they need for the day outside with them, as they will NOT be permitted to go to their lockers during the day.
• Cell phones and other digital devices must be locked away in lockers for the day – they will NOT be permitted out on the field during track & field day.
• Pizza will NOT be sold on Friday, so students need to pack a lunch for the day.
• Popcorn and freezies will be for sale during the day.
• Students are reminded to check the weather forecast for the day, and to pack sunscreen and lots of water.

If a student needs to call home or get in touch with a parent, they must come to the office to do so.  If you need to contact your child, please do so by calling the office (519-885-6200).

As always, it is very important that if your child will be away on Friday, to please call our attendance line and leave a message (519-570-8104 x3498).

Thank you.  We are looking forward to a fun-filled day with our students!  Watch Twitter and Instagram throughout the day to see what’s all happening at Mustang Stadium!
