Core French is a second language program intended to enable students to communicate with some very basic communication skills in French. The Core French program is available for students not enrolled in French Immersion in Grades 1-12. 

 

Extended French and French Immersion are French language programs with the goal of developing functionally bilingual students through teaching much of the curriculum with French as the language of instruction.

The difference between each option lies in the number of hours spent studying French:

Students in either program will have the option to complete the DELF B2 exam in their final year of high school.

Students will be able to function in a French-speaking community

Students will be able to take courses at college or university where French is the language of instruction. They will also be able to accept employment in which French is the working language
