A magnet program is a specialized program that supports a student’s transition to a specific post-secondary destination (i.e. workplace, apprenticeship, college, university). Each program is designed to meet the needs of a unique group of students.

Students are permitted to transfer to a school outside their school boundary to participate in a magnet program. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation – exceptions include students in the Fast Forward or ESL programs who live more than 3.2 km from the nearest school offering the program.
